DelaWrite Privacy Policy

Last updated:

Denis Makhortov built DelaWrite. This policy explains how data is processed in the app, Telegram bot and delawrite.com website.

Information collection and use

We process account information (email, Telegram details, identifier and settings), notes, tasks, pages and attachments to provide the app and synchronization. In local mode, your content stays on your device. When you use AI, requests and necessary context, including text and images, are sent to OpenAI. Shared pages are accessible to participants granted access.

For diagnostics and service improvement, we may process IP addresses, platform, app version, device and account identifiers, usage events and errors. Push tokens support notifications. When you contact support, you provide your message and any contact details you include.

Third-party services and analytics

DelaWrite uses OpenAI for AI features, Amplitude for analytics, Firebase for notifications and feedback, Telegram for the bot and Resend for login emails. These services receive data needed for their respective functions and may process it in other countries.

App analytics is enabled by default and can be disabled in settings. Disabling stops new events after a final disabling event but does not erase previous events. The website uses Google Analytics and may store cookies, which you can manage in your browser. This policy page has no analytics.

Data retention and deletion

Data is kept as needed to operate the service and meet legal obligations. Synchronization history may remain until account deletion; AI logs containing request and response text are kept for 14 days by default. Session hashes may remain for up to 90 days after account deletion to notify other devices of the deletion.

Delete your account in app settings or email denismakhortovdev@gmail.com with the subject “DelaWrite account deletion.” Include your linked email or Telegram account for ownership verification; do not send passwords or login codes. Cleanup of associated data and analytics may take additional time. Telegram messages and other participants’ copies are not automatically deleted.

Security and your rights

We use HTTPS and access controls. Cloud data is readable by the server for processing; end-to-end encryption is not provided. Absolute security of storage or transmission cannot be guaranteed.

Under applicable law, you may request access, correction, deletion or portability, restrict or object to processing, and withdraw consent where processing relies on it. Contact us to make a request; the usual response period under GDPR is one month. You may also complain to a data protection authority.

Children and policy changes

The service is not intended for children under 13. Contact us if you believe a child has provided data unlawfully. Policy updates are published here with a new date; material changes will also be communicated separately.
